Wi-Fi NOT Connecting
1.Check the Indicator Status:
M Series: Check the indicator status on the dash cam, make sure the power
indicator slowly blinks green.
S1 Series: Check the indicator status on the dash cam, and make sure the power
indicator solid on blue.
2.Ensure Close Proximity:
Make sure your phone and dashcam are within close range (within 2 meters) to avoid any
signal interference during the connection process.
3.Turn Off VPN/Anti-virus Software/Wi-Fi Calling:
Disable any VPN, anti-virus software, or Wi-Fi calling features on your phone, as
these may interfere with the connection process.
4.Activate Wi-Fi on Your Phone:
Navigate to your phone's Wi-Fi settings and turn on the Wi-Fi function.
5.Select MIOFIVE Network & Enter the Password:
From the list of available Wi-Fi networks, choose the network name associated with
your MIOFIVE dashcam (SSID). The network name should resemble "Miofive_xxxx".
When prompted, input the default password "1234567890" to connect
to the Wi-Fi
network.
6.Return to MIOFIVE App:
After successfully connecting to the Wi-Fi network, return to the MIOFIVE app to
access your dashcam’s live feed and other features.
Bluetooth Connection Recommendation:
For the MIOFIVE S1 series dashcams, we highly recommend using Bluetooth
for an easier
and more stable connection experience. If you're having trouble connecting via Wi-Fi, please try connecting
through Bluetooth instead.
Please follow the steps below to resolve the Wi-Fi Connectivity Issue with
your dash cam:
First, make sure that your dash cam is Powered On, and a compatible memory
card is properly inserted.
Also, kindly note that the Wi-Fi signal range is about 2 meters when there
are NO obstructions in the middle, so please stay within that range when connecting your phone to the dash cam.
- iPhone Users:
Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings, tap the blue icon next to the MIOFIVE network, and
select "Forget This Network".
Close all apps, restart your phone and the dashcam, then reconnect to
the Wi-Fi.
- Android Users:
Go to your phone's Wi-Fi settings, tap the settings icon next to the MIOFIVE network,
and select "Forget network".
Close all apps, restart your phone and the dashcam, then reconnect to
the Wi-Fi.
If You Cannot Find the SSID (Wi-Fi Name):
If you cannot find the SSID (Wi-Fi name), you may need to switch your dash
cam to the 2.4G Wi-Fi channel. Follow these steps to switch from 5G to 2.4G Wi-Fi on your Dashcam:
[Steps]: Settings → Connect Your Phone → Wi-Fi channel.
Check if there are any available firmware updates for your dash cam. Updating the
firmware can often resolve connectivity issues and improve overall performance. You can check for updates
through the MIOFIVE app when connected to Wi-Fi.
Navigate to the SYSTEM SETTINGS on your dashcam and reset it to the default settings.
Note: Please ensure to back up all your footage before performing this step.
If issues persist, consider resetting the network settings on your phone. This will
restore all network-related settings to their defaults and may resolve any underlying issues.
- For iPhone Users:
Remove the MIOFIVE app from your phone and reinstall it using the App Store.
- For Android Users:
Clear the app's data and cache by going to Settings → Apps → MIOFIVE, then uninstall and reinstall the app from the Google Play Store.
